Dr. Alain Cirkovic completed his medical studies at Université de Montréal, where he graduated in 2002. He has a vaste experience in hip and knee replacement and reconstruction over the past 23 years, with over 10,000 surgeries to this day. He has been practicing orthopaedic surgery at Verdun General Hospital (CIUSSS Centre Sud de Montreal) since 2022, where he was also chief of surgery for 5 years.
Dr. Cirkovic is highly regarded for his technical skills, professionalisme and excellent bed side manor. He is also “chargé d’enseignement” for the department of surgery of Université de Montréal, and participates in the formation of the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons.
Dr. Matthieu Boivin is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of hip and knee pathologies. After obtaining his degrees in medicine and orthopedic surgery from the University of Montreal, Dr. Boivin pursued subspecialty training at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia. La Dre Marie-Lyne Nault est chirurgienne orthopédique et chercheure au CHU Sainte-Justine. Formée à l’université de Montréal (MD PhD), elle a fait une surspécialité à l’université Harvard en médecine du sport pédiatrique. Elle mène plusieurs projets de recherche, d’études cliniques et universitaires dans le domaine de la médecine du sport.

Dr. Martel first obtained a bachelor degree in biomedical science from Université de Montréal before starting her medical training at the same institution. After graduating she pursued her specialization in General Surgery and later on completed a fellowship in General Surgical Oncology at McGill University. After practicing many years in the community, Dr. Martel was recruited as academic staff for her experience in breast oncology and acute care surgery.
Dr. Martel is currently an Associate Professor of Surgery and Oncology at the Jewish General Hospital where she specializes mainly in breast and melanoma surgery. Her main focus is breast oncoplastic surgery in the treatment of breast cancer. She has gained additional training from The School of Oncoplastic Surgery and the Brazilian Society of Mastologia and she is a member of the Oncoplastic Breast Consortium.
Dr. Perry Gdalevitch, a Canadian and American board-certified plastic surgeon, is a McGill University & University of British Columbia graduate and a driven researcher interested in breast reconstruction.
Dr. Gdalevitch is an accomplished plastic surgeon with cutting-edge technical skills, including deep inferior epigastric perforator flaps, fat grafting, and acellular dermal matrix. She founded the Association of Women Plastic Surgeons of Canada to empower and mentor other female plastic surgeons.

He honed his expertise during a year of subspecialization shared between the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois in Lausanne, Switzerland, and Winnipeg’s renowned Pan Am Clinic.

Dr. Stéphanie Hinse is a Canadian orthopedic surgeon with international expertise and a subspecialty in upper extremity surgery. She specializes in arthroscopic surgeries and arthroplasties (joint replacements) of the shoulder and elbow.
Dr. Hinse obtained her medical degree from the University of Montreal in 2010. She then pursued specialized training in orthopedic surgery at the University of Montreal and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2015 (FRCSC).
Dr. Stéphanie Hinse undertook her subspecialty training internationally with two consecutive fellowships in upper extremity surgery in Melbourne, Australia, in 2015-2016. The first fellowship was with the Melbourne Shoulder and Elbow Institute for six months, and the second fellowship was with the Melbourne Orthopaedic Group (MOG) for another six months. During her year of subspecialty training in upper extremity surgery, Dr. Hinse was an integral part of the surgical team in Melbourne and participated in the treatment of several professional AFL (Australian Football League) athletes who required shoulder and elbow surgeries.
Dr. Hinse developed a keen interest in complex shoulder tendon transfer surgeries. She completed a third six-month fellowship with Prof. Christian Gerber in Zurich, Switzerland, in 2019, specifically to deepen her knowledge of tendon transfers and shoulder prosthetics. Prof. Gerber is a pioneer in shoulder surgery, and her fellowship with him is highly prestigious. Prof. Gerber was the first to describe and publish the surgical technique and outcomes of latissimus dorsi tendon transfers for irreparable rotator cuff tears. Prof. Gerber has published over 450 scientific articles and has been cited more than 26,000 times in the literature.
Dr. Hinse is a Canadian expert in complex massive rotator cuff tear pathologies and regularly performs tendon transfers in the shoulder when necessary. She is frequently invited as an expert speaker at local and national conferences. Dr. Hinse is active in research and has also published several scientific articles, particularly on rotator cuff pathologies, shoulder prosthetics, and shoulder instability.

Dr. Marie Gdalevitch completed both her medical and orthopedic surgery degrees at McGill University. Following her residency, Dr. Gdalevitch pursued her first fellowship in limb lengthening and deformity correction at the international center for limb lengthening in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Gdalevitch then embarked on her second fellowship in pediatric orthopedics and basic science research at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in Sydney, Australia.
Dr. Gdalevitch works at Verdun hospital, a community hospital in Montreal, treating both children and adults in her areas of expertise. Her clinical practice is focused on limb lengthening and deformity correction, hip reconstruction/arthroscopy as well as foot and ankle surgery. Earlier in her practice, Dr. Gdalevitch developed the telescopic Free-Gliding (FG) SCFE screw, to improve the treatment of non-fusion techniques for patients with slipped capital femoral epiphysis. Dr. Gdalevitch is also one of the founders and past president of COLLA (Canadian Orthopedic Limb Lengthening association).
